dayz was shut down, rust works fine and offers DX9 compatibility, making it easier for lower-end systems to run smoothly. I haven’t experienced lag or performance drops since then. However, I haven’t played in a while—I was banned before the game split into two parts. It seems it’s the most popular title on Steam right now. Increased popularity might help, but servers still need improvement; they reported terrible lag at times. I use Google Fiber with an 8 ping from the nearest US server.
