Last week I replaced my router because it was having issues with phone connections. Vodafone gave me a new one, and it works fine on phones and PCs now. However, I used to experience 60ms latency, while the new router gives me around 80-150+ms. Can I somehow improve that? I talked to Vodafone, who said my line is okay for VDSL, but I’m not convinced. I don’t want to see a ping even though everything seems normal from them (I’ve been lagging in several games).

Is it wireless or wired and does the router support QoS?

I haven't seen any resources mentioning QoS, so it's possible it isn't included.

No, I was on 5GHz and have transitioned to 2.5GHz.

Only at 2.4GHz the phones can connect, 5GHz is not supported on this system.

It likely switched to a channel with more interference, as the 2.4 GHz ISM band is poor for gaming due to limited bandwidth. A 5G NIC would perform better in a crowded Wi-Fi setting.
