The motherboard in question is the very affordable H61M-P20/W8, likely the most budget-friendly option available for the 1155 socket right now. It includes OC capabilities in its BIOS, such as the "Genius OC" feature. I attempted to perform an OC myself, but both Windows and CPU-z reported that the clock speed stayed unchanged, even though the BIOS indicated a jump from 3.4Ghz to 3.8Ghz. Please let me know how I can assist further!

PS: I'm also using the standard Intel cooler.

You can't overclock a motherboard that isn't designed for it. A Z-series is usually required.
