Hello,
I'm assembling a new gaming PC and only have a GPU/PSU remaining to buy. I currently run at 1440p with 165hz and plan to upgrade to 4k in the future. My game selection spans from complete shooters to AAA titles. My budget for a GPU/PSU combo is roughly £800 to £900. Based on what I've read, the 9070XT appears to be the most suitable option within my budget, though I'm still uncertain about the best choice overall.

Online discussions mention some worries about the Nitro 16pin power connector and others claim it won't cause issues because of lower power consumption compared to Nvidia cards. Should I consider a different version of the 9070XT, or is the connection really overrated?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

From what I've observed, the 9070XT appears to be the top choice within the budget range.
Yes.
I've noticed some online discussions about the Nitro +'s 16pin power connector, but others argue it shouldn't cause issues because of its lower power consumption compared to the Nvidia cards. The initial uncertainty remains, but you can be confident it won't draw as much power as the RTX5080/5090 or the high-end 4000 series cards from before.
Power Supply:
Corsair RM850e (2023) 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power
Which CORSAIR PSUs feature a 12V-2x6 connector?
Let's review which CORSAIR power supplies (PSU) include a 12V-2x6 connector for connecting an Nvidia graphics card with this socket.

The Pure and Pulse lines use 2x8pin PCIe connectors, applicable to both non-XT and XT versions. The Nitro+ series is the one offering a 12V-2x6 connection for both non-XT and XT variants.

Thanks for your guidance, I'll adjust the PSU settings. I checked the Sapphire pure and found XFX Mercury OC at comparable prices with better stock availability. Would the PSU work with this card or should I go back to the original one?

Seek the magnetic air variant of the XFX cards to simplify replacing the GPU fans. This feature is worth noting, though the outcome remains uncertain.
