The choice between manufacturers mainly affects quality, features, and support. While differences exist, the core performance remains similar across brands.

I’m currently running a B450 Pro 4 from ASRock and I really enjoy it. Its performance really comes down to your specific needs—whether you’re focusing on overclocking, adding expansion slots, utilizing chipset capabilities, connecting fans, or using USB ports.

B450 functions more like a chipset than a typical motherboard. Based on the model and dimensions, it offers solid VRM, ample fan ports, numerous USB slots, and even RGB headers. Just assess your requirements and find a board that meets them all.

amd's current pricing isn't great except for the 5900x and 5950x. The best budget option right now is the 11400f. The 3600 offers a better balance compared to the 5600x, which is pricier and slower. When deciding between a 3600 for 200 and a 5600x for 300, the 3600 seems more sensible.

I wouldn't want them to receive the 2600/2600x; it would have saved us money. Getting the 1600 AF would have been better, and we could have boosted it further for comparable outcomes.

Without knowing your budget, it's hard to suggest specific options. The 11400 offers solid performance now. Still, I notice Intel boards often come with a higher price tag compared to AMD ones. When selecting a motherboard, I rely on user feedback, check the input/output panel for required features, and decide on the desired case size—ATX, micro ATX, or ITX. Some models can handle 1080p ultra at 1650 super, while others may struggle. For real-world hardware comparisons, YouTube is a great resource, featuring channels that test CPUs, GPUs, and more through gameplay and productivity tests.
