Hi, I understand your situation. The internet speed you're experiencing might be affected by several factors such as distance from the nearest fiber or cable provider, local network congestion, or even ISP throttling. Since you're in a unit complex, signal strength and bandwidth can vary significantly compared to residential areas. Watching Linus's videos helped me learn more about modems and upgrades, but for better results, consider checking with your ISP about possible upgrades or alternative plans. Also, ensure your router is properly placed and connected.

Do you have Wi-Fi or Ethernet connected? If everyone shares the same network, it might be restricting your performance

Verify your network configuration. For Telstra users, follow their suggested settings. Ensure you're physically connected to the router.

Connect to your ISP provided modem and check the upstream and downstream statistics on the router. To diagnose ADSL connections, you'll need these line stats. They should appear in your modem/router interface; just copy them here and we can proceed together.
