Refer to the video for a clear guide. It walks you through reducing temps while boosting performance using PBO and Curve Optimizer. Simple steps if you follow along. I tested it on my 7700x and noticed a 15°C drop and a 300MHz increase in core speed.

Game mode activates the curve optimizer, though it only supports PBO and doesn’t fully clarify its functionality.

It could allow PBO, but I don't believe it handles the curve optimizer since that needs to be configured in the BIOS.

There are always potential dangers, but I believe this situation is a low or even negligible risk. If the curve optimizer at -30 isn't stable, the system will simply shut down and restart to avoid any harm. Many built-in safeguards could invalidate the warranty, but who would be able to say for sure? Just reset the BIOS back to its original settings and nobody would notice. I always do this on any Ryzen 7000 model.

Adjust the curve optimizer to -25 and test. If it still crashes, reduce it further to -20 until stability is achieved. Your 7700x handled -25 without issues.

My 7900x handled -40 consistently for more than a year straight during the day. It stayed under 85°C and finished Cinebench R23 over 30k runs. (Note: this isn't a real-world feel, but if you like benchmarks, give it a try)
