Hello! Here are some key details: MOBO: Crossfire V, GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 (slightly overclocked), CPU: AMD FX-8350 (not overclocked, no plans), PSU: Rosewill 650 watt, RAM: 8 GB crucial, important for games like ARMA 2/3 and DayZ (mods or solo), I experience low frame rates in those titles. Friends with the same CPU get 60+ FPS on high/ultra settings, but I’m curious if adding some visual effects could help boost FPS. If you need more info, just ask! Thanks.

Adjusting graphics settings makes the best improvement. Disabling AA, reducing shadow details, etc., while keeping textures ultra can help ARMA run smoothly on a CPU-bound game like the 8350.

Check the CPU specs, avoid anything near 3.5 GB VRAM or better an i5. We’re not going that far.

I know exactly what you're experiencing, but the FPS remains inconsistent.

I don't intend to upgrade this CPU, and I won't invest more in it. Instead, I'm aiming for an Intel CPU later this year or mid/late this year.

Turn down the volume! If the visuals are dim, your graphics card isn’t being used properly. You should increase the graphics settings for better performance.

The CPU reaches its capacity. It's true the GPU can sit idle, which might allow more detailed graphics without affecting performance—yet if the CPU is the bottleneck, you'll need a quicker processor to move forward.
