Tell me the steps to configure PBO on an R5 5600 with the MSI B450 Tomahawk. I already turned it on, adjusted the CPU boost clock override to +150MHz, and set PBO Limits to "Motherboard." In Cinebench R23 it reached 4.6GHz (stock was 4450) with all cores at 1.3v. It ran between 79-81°C with the Hyper 212 Black RGB, achieving 11,100-11,300 multi-core score. I’m okay with the performance since 80°C is manageable for me, gaming temps are around 65°C, and it gave about 6-800 points higher in R23. I’m open to improvements but don’t know the exact settings.

Thats already 95% of the battle. Nothing much can be done besides undervolting it via Curve Optimizer.

Attempt it at +200MHz with -10 or -15 in CO, then check the range.

I recorded my configuration for the 5600X, but it got lost. Now I’m using 200/140/180 plus 200 minus 29 on all cores, and it’s performing great.

How far can I push before hitting the limits? I've already seen about a 6% improvement in performance with normal conditions. Maybe they could do better, which is why I'm considering trying the curve optimizer. But it still works on a single tower cooler that costs around $35, and at full load my CPU usage is between 100-110W according to hwinfo.

It won't damage anything. My 65W 5600X can handle more than 130W PPT and it should be okay.

Adjusted the overclock to 200MHz and configured the curve optimizer at -15. Experimented with -20 but performance dropped noticeably by 200 points in R23. Using -15 achieved consistent results—around 4575 cores at ~1.21V most of the time, with single cores reaching 4650. The peak voltage I observed was 1.29. Temperatures improved significantly, reaching a comfortable -6 to -8C range (73-75°C at full load) instead of 79-81°C, and maintaining Cinebench scores of 11000-11100. The stock voltage was between 10300-10500 and 70°C. I’ll keep this configuration and monitor stability over time.

On my 5600X it works well in corecycler at +150 -29 with all cores active (200/140/180), but I set it to +200 since corecycler isn't handling it.
