Before that, Samsung B-die was widespread, but afterward Hynix CJR became dominant (Micron appears to supply less). Other Samsung dies include E-die, a high frequency model with loose tRP and tRCD specs similar to CJR and Rev E, while D die had poor timing and was discontinued before Skylake existed. Consequently, these options are mainly found in X99 builds.

Speed and carrying capacity don't go well together, just like a car with only four wheels. You can pick either a high-performance race car or a versatile van, but not both.

This approach seems too rigid, just because 3600MHz isn't guaranteed to work without effort doesn't mean you should stop chasing speed. The most affordable 2x16GB package appears to be comparable to 3000MHz CL16 and 3600MHz CL18 models. The 3000MHz options are sufficient for casual users, while the 3600MHz CL18 should outperform weaker rivals like Hynix AFR and MFR. This leaves you with CJR DJR, possibly JJR, and Micron Rev E as the top contenders.
