Hello everyone, I'm new to English, but I hope you get my message. My motherboard's website says my CPU draws 95W, but I ran a stress test and found it actually used up to 76.42W according to HWMonitor. My main questions are: why isn't it reaching at least 95W? Should I adjust the voltage settings or something in the BIOS? Could the PSU not be powerful enough? Any advice would be really helpful. Details about my setup:
- Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2
- CPU: Intel Core i5-750 (boosted to 3.1GHz)
- Graphics: Gigabyte GTX 1050 TI Windforce 4GB (not boosted)
- RAM: Corsair 12GB DDR3 1333MHz
- SSD: Samsung SSD 860 EVO 500GB
- PSU: Greek model Soly Tech SL8500BTX, 500W capacity, about 7 years old

The 95w refers to Thermal Design Power, indicating the anticipated heat output in watts. This value serves as a reference for cooling needs rather than actual power usage by the CPU. TDP is more about ensuring proper cooling than measuring consumption. Your current PC is functioning well despite the low TDP. Just make sure you upgrade your PSU to a model rated at least B tier or higher when replacing it.
