The NVidia Linux driver doesn't provide direct access to power draw settings. You might want to check the "Coolbits" option in xorg.conf for more details. Enabling bit 3 lets you adjust clock values, which can help with underclocking and potentially lower power consumption. Other utilities exist for over- or under-clocking, though they aren't widely documented. No graphical interface is available.

Running nvidia-smi with specific parameters helped confirm the issue. The low value in -pl made the response unclear, but adjusting it resolved the problem. It also helped notice performance changes after playing Skyrim.
