Hey everyone, just wanted to share some thoughts after running Far Cry 5 on my rig. I'm using an RTX3070 with an AMD 5600X, and I didn’t list all the specs right away. The game felt a bit off at first, but when I ran benchmarks, it showed solid performance at 1080p—high FPS, then drops below 100 at certain moments. Even at 1440p, my frame rate stayed steady around 140, though my GPU was busy at about 80% and CPU at 50%. It’s strange that I wasn’t seeing full hardware usage but still dropping frames. I also used around 12GB of RAM out of the 16GB I have. What’s going on here?

Games vary in quality and performance. They often don’t try to use every piece of hardware fully, especially when budgets are tight or sponsors push for cutting-edge tech that can be risky. Low-threaded games with high demand... Farcry 5 is called singlethread hungry. It demands a lot from just a few cores, and Windows spreads the workload wherever it fits, but it has limits. Games simply function the way they were designed.
