It's still in early access. The same issue is happening. You might want to adjust the settings, but performance should improve significantly after the full release.
Game performance drops dramatically, almost like a 90s title at full resolution. I manage around 60 frames per second, but sometimes fall to 30 fps on 1440p with high textures and maximum resolution. Playing medium-high gives me 45-60 fps on 1080p. These improvements won’t appear for a while unless the developers notice the game is almost done.
