Hello, the name clearly shows what you're aiming for. After installing your 9800x3d stable on -25 curve, I'm looking to fine-tune my memory performance. My goal is to raise the levels of the lows by about 1%, though I'm not expecting major jumps—just a little improvement would be great. My RAM specs are: LD5U16G60C320A-RGD – 2x16GB, 6000MHz, speeds 32-38-38-76 with 6000MT/s. I’m new to DDR5 or AMD chips since this is my first time using them. Previously, I had a DDR4 B-die with 13600k.
Support EXPO Pray to keep your RAM from failing early, since the rates are high now and returns might take a long time. Have fun with your PC! Buildzoid's channel is a great place to explore RAM overclocking and adjustments. https://www.youtube.com/@ActuallyHardcoreOverclocking
Your 1% lows are nearly there, reaching their target with the 9800X3D. RAM has little impact on X3D chips—just turn on EXPO and relax. You’ll land in the leading 1% of users.
Activate EXPO immediately. It will adjust all necessary parameters to the most secure configuration for your system. Avoid further changes, as any adjustments could endanger your RAM capacity.
Sure, I got a bit confused about what you meant. You're asking about lowering lows, but I think you meant stable frame rates. I have a 5800x3d and prefer consistent performance without big fluctuations. Overclocking RAM isn't really necessary unless you manage temperatures well; it's usually not worth it since RAM is built to handle heat. I did overclock my graphics cards for extra performance, but that wasn't the main goal. It's probably just running at its best speed, which is great for gaming.
Yeah, but that doesn't go over the whole placebo effect thingy were ppl see "oh lower lows" and think they're now esport gods... the thing is your display can't display frames that exceed the displays refresh rate and any "frame time" shenanigans are internally, yes it actually renders your stuff faster, but you can't benefit from it unless your screen actually supports that (and do not under any circumstances use "gsync" if you care about latency at all because holy moly it's a lag generator! Yikes)
