Hello,
I need assistance setting up a new gaming PC for streaming. I’m currently using an i9900k platform with an RTX 2080 Super and plan to go live on Twitch using the codec from my existing machine or a new one. I’m thinking about either a single PC or two PCs.

I have the following components:
Motherboard: MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI ATX AM5
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 4.5 GHz 8-Core
GPU: Gainward GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB GDDR6X (not found in the configurator)
CPU cooler: ENDORFY Fortis 5 ARGB
RAM: GOODRAM IRDM 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30
Storage: Lexar NM620 1TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVMe (two SSDs available, can swap one)
Case: be quiet! Pure Base 501 Airflow ATX Mid Tower
PSU: MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX

My previous build used an AMD Ryzen 5 7600 and switched to the Ryzen 7 7700X for better performance. I’m wondering if the fans will cope with this configuration and whether the internal temperature will be manageable. Should I opt for a larger case? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Regarding the graphics card, if I upgrade to a newer model like the 5070 Ti, it should cost similarly to the 4070 Ti Super.

Could you confirm if the power supply can handle this setup?
Best regards,
Gris

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
In simple terms, your setup looks solid. You might consider upgrading to a higher-tier processor, such as the X3D SKU, since you'll be gaming and streaming from the same device. Even if you don’t plan to stream or game on just one system, an X3D SKU still works well with the 7700x. I’d also look into replacing the Fortis with a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE.

For storage, opt for a smaller SSD for your OS, apps, and launchers, while using a larger drive for your game library.
If you do video editing before uploading content, think about adding a mechanical drive to improve airflow from the front panel.
Regarding location, please share where you’re based, your budget, and the types of games or streams you plan to handle.
My two cents on your build.
Hope this helps!

Hi,
I'm from Poland. The prices of power supplies might not surprise you, but AMD processors are a different matter.
The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D is priced at 612 US dollars.
I’m unsure which models you’re referring to, but I think the budget should be about PLN 7,000, which would be roughly USD 1,840.
The games I’m playing right now are Valorant – mainly processor-dependent and Fort (more graphics). In the future, I’d like to try something like Cyberpunk, which needs a more powerful machine. I enjoy indie games as well. Playing in 2K resolution is also important for me. The target setup is two 2K monitors. My current setup is a 27-inch MSI monitor, but I tried to revert to 1080p on the same size and ended up returning it. In short, if only the new unit supports it, I’d like to use it for more demanding titles, including video editing.
Shouldn’t the casing be larger though?
Thanks for your reply
