Hello,
I'm planning to assemble a computer with the RTX 5080 GPU. I found a configuration online and want to know if it's suitable. Should I make any adjustments or avoid certain parts?

CPU Cooling: MSI x MPC MAG CORELIQUID M360
Motherboard: GIGABYTE Z790 Eagle AX WIFI DDR5

Thank you for your assistance!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! If I were you, I'd choose a 1KW PSU to provide extra capacity even though Nvidia's support page says the needed power should be 850W. For gaming purposes, I'd install a smaller SSD for the operating system, apps, and launchers, while keeping the larger 2TB SSD for storing games. I'd skip MSI-made AIO units. What is your build's goal? Where are you from, and which site do you prefer to buy from? These are common questions here. *How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice* This guide is based on the Animal's *How To Ask For New Build Advice*. I made it because many people are seeking upgrade tips both in this forum and on CPU discussion boards, and I believe... forums. Please follow the thread's format so the community can offer helpful feedback. Moved thread from Components to Systems.

Hello everyone and thank you for your responses. I apologize for not adhering to the guidelines.
I'm from France and my setup is tailored for gaming. I want to play the latest titles such as STALKER 2, Kingdom Come 2, and GTA 6 without needing to upgrade my PC for several years.
My budget is around 3000 to 3500€, preferably with installment payments (like PayPal 4x).
Right now I don't need a monitor; I plan to upgrade later. Currently, I'm using 1920x1080 resolution.
My aim is to have a solid PC for the next few years to ensure peace of mind. Playing in 4K would be nice, but I'm willing to try it if possible.
At the moment, I just need a system that can handle any game without having to constantly check if it will run smoothly on my current settings.
Here is the build I found on a French/German site (you can adjust the configuration to see what's available):
https://www.memorypc.fr/detail/018...af2...a0e9b136e4
@g-unit1111
Thank you for these details. Would this build fit within the HYTE Y70 case? Maybe my link could help me create a similar setup (I really like it ^^)
Also, on the site it mentions a GPU 5080 without specifying the brand (MSI, ASUS...). Is that risky? I can pick a few 5080 models but I'm not sure which one to choose. Especially since some are missing, like MSI SUPRIM.
Thanks everyone!

You haven't received 5080 or 5090 for a while.

Curious about why the 6400 C32 is used instead of 6000 C30?
I appreciate the switch to a more trusted brand, though I’m unsure if the higher speed will actually help or bring any benefits.
I plan to build an AM5 system soon and everything I see suggests sticking with 6000.

It might not really matter. I just picked that one at random. Corsair Dominator Platinum is reliable RAM, it's what I rely on. It could be a bit pricier, but it uses the Samsung B-die instead of the more common SK Hynix found in most generic RAM. If you don't mind skipping the LED lighting, you're free to do so.

Yeah, the Hyte Y70 and the NZXT H6 Flow look quite alike. I'm a bit confused about this part—are you referring to the NVIDIA Founder's Edition cards? If that's the case, they're really reliable to buy. These cards are essentially basic models without extra features, but they're typically based on reference designs. OEMs such as MSI and Asus usually purchase the GPU processors directly from NVIDIA or AMD and then customize the coolers and PCBs to their own needs.

I didn't realize the model was B-die. I frequently questioned why there was a price increase beyond the clear luxury factor. Everyday is just a regular school day.

I've completed several builds on a Y70 with a Y70 touch. The case is nice to work in, and most components fit well except for some EATX motherboards.
