Hello everyone, I’ve learned a lot about disabling FSO and changing HDS settings in game files on Windows 10. I tried these adjustments in many recent games from Steam, Epic, Bethesda, and others. But I’m curious—what’s really going on behind the scenes?

I've worked with a Nvidia GPU and Dynamic Super Resolution on a 1080p display. It maintains a clean appearance when scaling up to 4K (four times 1080p) and works well for some games. However, in fullscreen mode of those games—starting from 1080p and switching to 4K within the game—I notice my mouse stays fixed in the top-left corner of the 4K screen (the top-left 1080p area). Using HighDPI Scaling and adjusting other settings, it can now open or load at 4K without restricting the mouse position. This allows normal navigation through game menus without unexpected behavior.
