He says Arma 3 has terrible optimization and struggles with low frame rates. On an FX8650 running at 4.0, MSI 390x at 1060 MHz, all textures and effects are set to Ultra. Disables PIP, participial high, HDR standard, and post processing effects. Shadows are at 100, with 1920x1080 post processing FX turned off. HDAO is enabled, shadows are high, shadows are 925, and AA is set to 4x. Trees and grass use ARMA 3, post processing is off, and anisotropic filtering is at 53. Frames drop noticeably during gunfights in first person, even on an SSD. Does this sound accurate?

Absolutely, you're right. Even with a high-end setup like an i7-5xxxk processor, TitanX graphics, and 32GB of RAM, the game still struggles with low frame rates in ARMA3. That's definitely the streamer I'm talking about.

This optimization seems to stem from the developers' perspective, possibly due to the demanding nature of the extreme-intense AI workloads typically handled on a single core, which may strain AMD processors.

Arma depends heavily on basic processing speed.

The CPU performance is quite weak, and the GPU isn't doing well either. Even with my 3770k at 4.7ghz, I see around 30 in large servers.

The issue isn't related to API overhead.
