The developers have verified that the suggested specifications listed are intended for mid to high graphics settings. The 770 or 290 options won't suffice if you're aiming for ultra high performance.
I’m not convinced that an R9 290 can handle the game smoothly at 30 frames per second with medium-high settings. While the game appears fine, others seem just as visually appealing yet use significantly less power.
This is a good thing. It means it's probably just like The Witcher 2. I still can't max out The Witcher 2 with my setup. Or like the original Crysis which was near impossible to max till years later.
