Optimal temperatures and configurations for 1050ti, 4790k, Red Dead Redemption 2 Online
Which graphics options should I apply with this hardware? Also considering 16GB RAM and Windows 10 with stock CPU fan, my current configuration is mostly off or low settings except for texture quality and tessellation, tree quality at medium, 720p at 20fps. I’m using Windows power settings to limit CPU power to min %5 to max %40 active system cooling policy. Performance varies from 47c-57c depending on the action; even a slight increase to 35fps causes noticeable CPU and GPU heat with this game. MSI Afterburner fan speed is set to all time at 56% GPU. Do you have any advice? Would it help to disable fullscreen optimizations for RDR2.exe? I prefer windowed mode so I can use alt tab properly.
What are your CPU and GPU temperatures?
If you're already using Afterburner, you can keep it running with CPU/GPU temperature monitoring, along with usage stats, FPS averages, and memory usage. Share a short video of the setup.
A quick glance at this RDR2 graphics guide reveals your GPU should be set to Low, achieving no more than around 50 FPS (I increased it slightly for the Ti version). In fact, higher settings don’t show the GPU in any tests. At most, you might achieve similar performance on 1080p if heat becomes a concern.
