The focus is on improving game visuals without changing hardware. Options include adjusting display settings, using compression methods, and optimizing graphics drivers. Each approach offers different benefits in terms of performance and quality.

DSR or MFAA both function on the 970 and are available for activation within the nVidia driver.

Use a 4K monitor and play the game in 4K resolution. It significantly enhances the visual quality.

It seems you were curious about the subject as "the best way to Atlantis."

The strongest anti-aliasing techniques involve supersampling or Nvidia DSR, which increases resolution and then reduces it to your display's size. Beyond these, the optimal balance between speed and quality hinges on what’s offered in the game. When feasible, I favor SMAA or TXAA. I usually disable FXAA wherever possible. Except for perhaps the initial two straightforward methods I recommended, antialiasing doesn’t significantly sharpen the image; in fact, it can cause parts of the picture to blur. This phrasing suggests the issue stems from a low monitor pixel density (PPI).

Still enjoying 1080p quality. Would really like 1440p IPS with 144Hz and G-sync, though I’ll have to keep my hopes high until I win a lottery for it—it’s just that pricey.

I’m really budget-friendly when it comes to monitors, don’t you think?

The Best of the Best is to use a 4K Monitor and Run at 4K . There is still a bit of aliasing but not much. It makes the game look WAY BETTER. As someone who has used DSR on my 1080P Monitor and Ran Native 4K . DSR is meh , there are some very bad scaling issues on certain games. SSAA or MSAA is GPU Intensive but overall results are pretty awesome. FXAA to me is eh . Doesn't do much compared to other AA Techniques but not much performance drop . I can't talk about TXAA since I haven't had the need to use it.

The resolution works well with different screen sizes. I have a 22-inch 1080P monitor for my PS4, and it looks great. My 28-inch monitor for my PC is in 4K. If I get a 1080P monitor for my PC, it would need to be around 23-22 inches. I play close to the screens, so a low PPI tends to make me feel sick.
