Optimal CPU boost without causing performance issues for a 7900xt
Optimal CPU boost without causing performance issues for a 7900xt
I found myself with a 7900xt for my 1440p gaming setup. It’s experiencing some lag and noticeable frame drops, particularly in War Thunder. I also play Factrio, Star Wars Battlefront 2, Kingdoms & Castle, and World of Warships. I’m not aiming for the most expensive fix but something in the $300 to $600 range would help. A platform upgrade seems reasonable if it justifies the cost. I’m unsure which path to choose. Would it be better to source a used 5800x3d for around $300 locally, or invest in a newer model like a 13600k? Thanks for your assistance. Specs: 5800x ASUS B550, 3600, 16GB, 7900xt, 1440p, 165Hz.
