you can adjust the zoom level using optimfine, but sometimes people zoom in and then zoom out again. The method depends on how you're managing the zoom settings.

I just realized it—probably it was just his camera hitting the wall, bringing it nearer.

Additional details are required.
It seems you might be referring to a scenario involving several people joining a Zoom call, though this is just an assumption at the moment.
Clarify further if needed.

it happens when you zoom, but clicking something causes it to increase further.
around the 25-second mark he zooms and then zooms even more.

@Gam3r01
Minecraft mod - noted. Thank you.
(Not a regular Minecraft player, but I've experienced frequent "Zooms" that make the display hard to view.)
==========
You're using the +
or -
symbols to zoom in for closer detail or to reduce size for a broader view.
Or perhaps a specific key or combination? Which one?
If clicking and zooming keeps happening, check the delay settings on the repeat key.
Too sensitive and it feels like you're holding the key down repeatedly.
Several zooms in a row may indicate an issue.
Refer to Ease of Access > Keyboard for the right settings.
Also note that the key you press should be responsive enough so it doesn't feel stuck.

Uncertain about your question, as increasing the zoom level makes it larger and decreasing it makes it smaller. That's how zooming works.
