Do you know if any keyboards include an optical switch in their key construction?

Corsair K100 RGB paired with OPX switches is one such model, with detailed specifications available here: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/key...yb...912a01a-na. Additional information about Corsair switches can be found at https://www.corsair.com/us/en/s/keyboard-switches. I currently have the K100 RGB with OPX switches, but haven't had time to use it yet. At present, I'm using Corsair Strafe RGB with Cherry MX Silent switches.

You had my expectations. It seems the optics and magnetic components are on the board. Are there any other key boards? Check the video at the link provided.

Keychron K6 supports optical switches that are hot-swappable, meaning the optical part is integrated into the key switch itself, not the board. Details can be found on their product page: https://www.keychron.com/products/keychr...l-keyboard. The Keychron K7 offers a slim design with optical hot-swappable switches, specifications available here: https://www.keychron.com/products/keychr...l-keyboard. The Asus TUF Gaming K7 also features optical switches, with full specs on their site: https://www.asus.com/accessories/keyboar...gaming-k7/.

I can find the switches; the LED and the photo-sensitive element are soldered on the PCB under the key. Do you have any information about something else? I tried to look for more details but it wasn't clear.

Thanks, g

It is best to reach out to KB manufacturers directly and inquire about the matter. They are familiar with the solution.
