I’m looking to treat myself with $50 during the Steam summer promotion. I’ve been hooked on Doom Eternal for some time, but I’m not sure it’s the right match for me. If a player who owns Doom Eternal could share their thoughts or a quick review, I’d really appreciate it. For context, I enjoy Minecraft, CSGO, and Borderlands 2, and I’ve recently played the 2016 version of Doom.

I enjoyed Doom Eternal a lot. It's an extremely fast, chaotic, and violent arena. The soundtrack didn't quite match up.

I appreciated it, though I'm not quite you... Perhaps check out reviews and real gameplay to gauge if it suits your preferences? I enjoy LGR's critiques.

Doom eternal presents a challenging experience. You must become proficient in the combat system. It seems superior to 2016. The soundtrack remains decent. Not quite as impressive as 2016, but still a solid game overall. It feels more demanding than Dark Souls. Overall, it's definitely worth the effort. I'm struggling with one section, but the sense of accomplishment when succeeding makes it worthwhile.

I just purchased it during the discount, skipped the first round. Missed the punch kill steps and didn’t keep track much. I snagged some deals and thought grabbing this would be smart. Like a solid Steam summer promotion.

I really enjoy Doom Eternal, especially the intense sections where you had to perfect those jumps and combos. There’s plenty of demon and monster action, and the excitement of blasting them keeps things fun. Recently started playing Serious Sam BFE, a game I hadn’t finished since its release, and it turned out to be a lot more enjoyable! No wild jumping sequences there at all.
