Opinions on AsRock B550 Taichi?
Opinions about this board are coming through. It pairs nicely with my 5600x/RTX 3070 setup. I found one at 213 open box from microcenter—don’t worry, the manufacturer warranty covers it. I previously owned a Z270 Taichi and enjoyed it, though I’ve heard newer AsRock models aren’t top-notch. It’s running smoothly now, but the BIOS feels quite lacking. The build quality is solid, though. My alternative pick was a full-price B550 Tomahawk or Gaming Edge WiFi. I avoid the X570 because of its chipset fan.
My X570 Taichi is performing nicely with solid BIOS support. The fan noise is absent. You might find a more affordable board if you don’t require those extra features or push it too far for overclocking.
I’ll receive it in a 5900:1 ratio once it’s ready, and it won’t be too costly.
Stock quantities should be sufficient for lower-end boards, as the Ryzen processors consume relatively little power.
