I chose to check out IGN's video for the halibut. It felt like he gave it a low score because the game was too lengthy and he wished for more diverse gameplay. He didn't capture the full experience just because he prefers a straightforward, easygoing style. For fans who appreciate this title: stunning graphics, a fitting homage to Aliens, and an unpredictable, powerful alien antagonist make it visually appealing.
Well, the significant wait before you see the alien is a fair amount of time, and that time was well spent. I don’t know why so many people assume a Slender or FN@F. I enjoy watching long horror games with solid storytelling and good setup, and from what I understand, Alien: Isolation does that nicely.
I'm really into competitive FPS games, so hiding doesn't seem like much of a fun thing. But honestly, I wouldn't say the game is bad—it's been pretty solid so far.
