Considering your needs for a mesh network with 10+ devices and gaming, the Amplifi Alien router from Ubiquiti seems a solid choice. It’s designed for robust performance and stability. Netgear or Asus are also reliable options, but the Alien offers more specialized features for your scenario.

The Amplifi Alien hasn't received enough feedback from experts yet—it moved from being unknown or speculated about to being available for purchase. The build quality is decent, though expanding the system requires buying additional Alien units, as there isn<|pad|>'s only a single mesh-only model. The capabilities match those of other mesh devices in the market; it offers wireless connectivity for monitoring and managing clients, but lacks advanced features like assigning each SSID to a distinct VLAN. For typical home users, the functionality is sufficient.

WiFi 6 is the latest update. Most devices still lack WiFi 6 support, making it tough to assess its performance. Small Net Builder hasn’t posted reviews yet, but they’re known for thorough testing. I prefer to wait for WiFi 6 before jumping in. A year or so should bring more backing and improved hardware.

The only system I've experienced is Google's. My sister installed it, making it easy for them. It seems to function properly, at least for them. Whenever I visit, my phone works well on the network.

That's not accurate. You can indeed purchase a mesh point. It has already been extensively evaluated by network experts and also performed iperf tests.

I understand the posts are quite old and may not reflect the latest updates. You don’t need to revisit every statement I’ve made. I can review your previous messages and highlight any that were accurate at the time they were written but no longer hold up today.

They still released a WiFi 6 device, which is a bit unexpected since the standard isn’t finalized until later this year. That’s why I switched to a unifiHD while hoping to get a WiFi 6 unit eventually. Now I keep my router and WiFi separate so upgrades can happen independently without issues.
