I'm considering a super budget build with an E3 1270 v6 and a 1660 Ti or 1080. Seeing the 1270 V6 works similarly to an i7 7700, so it seems adequate. What are your opinions?

It's around 15 years old.
What kind of performance are you seeking?
Could there be a noticeable improvement over the i7-7700? Possibly, or it might not be significant.

That's the standard version. I'm referring to the V6, and these comparison sites aren't very precise.

I'm hoping for a more competitive result or slightly improved performance. I don't have those CPUs, and the alternatives available haven't fit my budget. Since I'm pairing it with a 1080, it's a solid setup.
