Opinion on Bauldar Gate 3
Hey everyone, hope you're all well. Stay safe and healthy! Your thoughts really matter to me. We all know only a handful of games have won the game of the year award, but I'm a bit unsure about this one... Is it more like a strategy RPG similar to Age of Empires, or something else? I thought it could be a Witcher-style masterpiece, but after seeing some screenshots, it seems more like strategy-style mobile games. Please let me know if my opinion is wrong!
It refers to a specific style of graphics and animation typical of earlier games, especially when BG1 and BG2 were launched. Most modern RPGs now use a complete first or third-person perspective. BG3 stands out little compared to Age of Empires, as the visual differences are mostly surface-level.
It goes much deeper than that—it’s not just a simple observation. Most top-down or isometric games share a similar feel to Age of Empires, which is why it can seem familiar.
Thank you @Skiiwee29 for your help. Your explanation was really helpful. I've played RPG and Souls games, but haven't tried the Baulder Gate series much. Usually I go for hard mode, but which difficulty should I choose? And what's the best race for hard mode?
