Looking for a standalone operating system that places an ISO file on the machine and starts a virtual machine. I want to boot from this OS instead of switching to another computer or using a remote connection, but I’m not sure how to set it up like a dual-boot experience. Once installed, I need to create the VM and launch it in the base system. Hopefully, someone can clarify what I’m trying to do.

Start the VM in a standard OS such as Windows 10 or Linux, then switch to full screen. It should boot automatically with auto-login enabled. This setup seems straightforward. Would you need any additional hardware support?

Are you seeking a type 2 hypervisor like VMware Workstation or Oracle VirtualBox? This involves installing a hypervisor on your existing operating system and then creating virtual machines via the software. In contrast, a type 1 hypervisor such as ESXi runs directly on the host machine. Edit: Unless I've overlooked what you're asking for, because the question wasn't phrased very clearly.
