Operating on insufficient RAM on the motherboard
Hi, I upgraded to a Ryzen 3700X and paired it with an ASUS Prime X570-P motherboard. I initially used my old RAM setup (G.Skill 16GB, 2x8GB, Ripjaws V, DDR4 3200MHz, CL16). Everything seemed fine until the system would freeze occasionally, showing strange MHz readings. After updating the BIOS, the issue changed but still persisted. My keyboard would become unresponsive and the computer would lock up during long tasks. A speed test indicated my RAM was underperforming. Anyone have experienced similar problems? I also ordered compatible RAM but haven’t had much luck.
Reviewed the motherboard website for compatible RAM options and purchased a set, which resolved the issue.
