Opening Windows 10 folders takes longer than usual.
This was a few months back, don’t worry about the text in the video—it’s from another topic. Now it’s clear: you definitely notice the difference. The operating system runs on a 250GB Samsung SSD. Sometimes I struggle with Windows 10... Recently, I accidentally deleted the appdata folder, which held around 20GB of data. Could that be the reason behind the problem? Please help! Windows is really frustrating for me. Edit: On Reddit someone mentioned deleting appdata can mess up Windows, so I just reinstalled a newer version (1703/15063.138). The issue still exists. What’s odd is that before I removed it, I had Internet Explorer and after the deletion, Edge appeared—maybe Windows updated automatically? Anyone with more experience could explain what’s happening?
Remove the quick access folder and the x86 program files from the shortcut menu.
I was really upset, had to reinstall windows several times, but the issue stayed the same. After formatting and deleting the "System Reserved" partition (500MB), I restarted Windows and the problem went away. Hopefully it will stay resolved.
