Last week I upgraded Win10 and Battlefield 2042. Afterward, launching BF2042 through Steam stopped working. I tried DDU drivers, verified the game files, reinstalled BF2042, updated EA Play, and refreshed the certificates. Now the game launches after about 3-5 minutes, but it’s freezing when waiting to start. The CPU stays at full speed, preventing me from opening other programs. Chrome and Task Manager don’t let me restart the PC via the start menu. I’ve switched to Windows 11, but the issue persists. This was a fresh installation roughly two months ago. Everything is on SSDs, which should boot faster, yet it’s slowing down other games too. Any advice would be greatly appreciated—consider giving this a reset or a clean install.
