Opening CAD software on a second screen caused an immediate crash.
Hello, I'm dealing with a problem that's really thrown me off balance because my PC diagnostic skills are limited. At my workplace we just got a new workstation to install OpenMind HyperMill. On a single screen it works fine without any problems. But once you open another window on the second screen, HyperMill crashes. The hardware specs are: Intel 10900KF Quadro RTX 4000 (I've tried swapping to an RTX5000 but the issue persists). Asus ROG Z-590E EVGA 750W, Samsung 670 1 TB Corsair Vengengce 64GB 3600. This should be a good time to reach out to HyperMill directly, but we no longer pay for maintenance since they usually don't help and the updates aren't worth it.
I used only the software; I attempted to stress the GPU with Furmark and tested Aida64 on the CPU without any problems. Our other three PCs, which share a similar spec, are also functioning well.
This appears to be a hardware/software problem, as the app freezes when showing two render views but functions normally with other programs. Consider updating Quadro or reverting the firmware version.
I've checked two different Nividia drivers for the latest version, using 527.27 and 412.40 as recommended by the hypermill. Are there additional drivers worth considering beyond the GPU ones?
Would you like me to reinstall the software? It could assist.
They seem to be using either the Quadro RTX 4000 or 5000, and I changed the cards without any success.
