Vulkan offers improved performance compared to older APIs, though it doesn’t inherently lower graphics quality—it just optimizes how resources are handled.

All graphics APIs focus on functionality and performance, not image quality. You can achieve identical quality using either one.

It's unclear how it functions, but some titles suggest benefits from using Vulkan. Most graphic-heavy ones focus on GPU settings and the engine behind them. Not every title employs methods that enhance image quality, especially regarding motion blur, rendering techniques, or anti-aliasing. Generally similar approaches are used, though performance can vary based on image quality and specific settings. If you notice lower quality, consider adjusting settings via the NVIDIA control panel to try a different version.

You're suggesting it's preferable to remain with OpenGL. The shift to Vulkan felt like a drop in quality, especially noticeable with motion blur.

Both options work well and allow for your choice.

Compatibility matters, but performance depends on both the software and your specific hardware. Developers decide what works best.
