I've been working on this GPU throttling issue for a few days now, after switching from the stock AMD cooler to the Be Quiet! Darkrock Pro Slim cooler. Someone suggested using Open Hardware Monitor to assess my PC's condition. My concern is why the highlighted area is displaying a negative temperature.

Likely trying to interpret data from a non-existent sensor. The speedfan display shows -260°C, possibly due to excessive heat from the 2-volt GPU core affecting throttle control. It shouldn't be operating at such high voltages.

To lower the core voltage on the GPU, check the Global Wattman settings and verify the results of your Firestrike test. A faulty overclock could be a factor, but adjusting these parameters should help.

As @RKRiley mentioned, it seems like the device might be attempting to read data from sensors that aren’t there. I also have a 130°C processor on my MacBook. Don’t forget to mention others when you ask, or they won’t notice your message.

Possibly because of a software clash. For example, your system has a motherboard with monitoring tools, or another program like msi afterburner is running alongside it.
