So after coming home from school my PC connection has been slow, while my phone and other Wi-Fi at home work fine. I’m not sure what’s causing it! I’ve scanned for viruses, updated the drivers, and checked the router—sometimes it shows no internet or takes a long time to load. PLEASE help!

Restart the installation process. Everything might have failed during your absence. Begin anew.

Sure, I can help with that. Reinstalling without losing anything is possible if you follow the right steps. Make sure to back up important files first, then proceed with the uninstallation and reinstallation process carefully.

I’d simply reinstall everything and let it all download at once. Copying large files, particularly software, can be quite frustrating.

I updated the Windows installation again but the performance remains poor. I'm unsure what to try next.

They are functioning and I performed some tests. I removed my PC from upstairs and didn’t modify any cards, which caused the download speed to drop to 70MB and upload to 8MB, as well as affected the Ethernet connection. I did this to verify everything works, and it does. However, I’m still unsure why it stopped working. I ran diagnostics that indicated Windows couldn’t connect to the proxy. I searched online using instructions from several sites, but nothing resolved the issue. I hope this information helps with your problem. Thanks for your assistance! Also, adding another router extended the Wi-Fi range, though speeds remain below 10 Mbps.
