Only the laptop experiences slow Wi-Fi upload speeds.
I'm experiencing problems with my laptop's upload speed. My ARRIS model is TG3452, and it has both 5G and 2.4GHz options. I use the 5G connection and notice that the main difference between the two is slower downloads on 2.4GHz. On my mobile device, I can achieve 300-400 Mb/s download and about 25 Mb/s upload, whereas on my laptop it's only 300-350 Mb/s download and under 1 Mb/s upload. When I turn on FIBS for the Wi-Fi network, the download drops to around 25 Mb/s but the upload matches expectations. All tests were conducted via speedof.me. If I change the MAC address randomly, both upload and download drop to roughly 0.5 Mb/s, and it doesn't improve after a while, even when I switch back. FIBS seems to only activate when I disconnect and reconnect Wi-Fi on my laptop. I tried using my phone as a mobile hotspot with default settings and no MAC randomness or FIBS, but the speed remained very low (around 25 Mb/s). Based on this, it appears there might be a priority given to download speed for my laptop, possibly consuming all available bandwidth. My phone uses a Pixel 6 Pro and my laptop is a ROG Zephyrus M15 GU502LU. I'm on TDS internet and after contacting the provider they sent an Ethernet cable, which could help. However, I suspect the issue is software-related, as my laptop supports 802.11ax while my modem is only 802.11ac.
