Hello, I just put in two new intake fans and when I try to turn them on, only the RAM lights up. My initial idea was that my motherboard might be damaged because I could have shorted some wires. Any assistance would be welcome (I’ve already done basic checks like making sure the right cables are connected properly).

Are the fans rotating? Do you have any tools to customize their colors?

They are simple non-RGB Artic P12 fans, no software required.

He mentioned that. Have you attempted to unplug them to check if the PC restarts? Also, make sure all cables are properly seated; it’s possible the front panel connectors were dislodged.

I misread it, but they spin. I tested on another PC and it worked, but this one doesn’t spin at all—just the RAM lights up.

Could the motherboard be the problem?

Welcome to the discussions! To confirm: does the device start up? If yes, attempt using Fan Control to adjust their speeds manually.

Checks if it starts up without the new fans. Asks for the exact motherboard brand and model. Someone is discussing issues with Gigabyte RGB software bricking boards.
