I updated my PC case since the cooling was completely missing and I had to leave the side panel out. I swapped everything over as usual, but now when I connected everything again it seems like nothing works. Did I damage my motherboard or power supply? If anyone can assist with troubleshooting steps, I would really appreciate it.

No, I haven't gone through that exact scenario in the sticky thread.

Check the system setup and ensure all connections are secure. Verify if any lights activate when you switch the PSU on, and confirm it powers up correctly.

I usually break things down step by step. 1) I test the bench board first. 2) I check CPU, RAM, and GPU performance. 3) I install the case. 4) I add drives. 5) I connect other peripherals and verify the power supply switch (I've done this before). Still no start. What's going on...?

Stay optimistic and consider all possibilities. It's possible the issue is simply missing, disconnected, or not fully connected, with many other factors to explore as mentioned before.

That's understandable but without a full overview it's tough to be certain. The biggest chances seem to be faulty power cables (maybe the PSU?) or some connections that aren't fully secured. People often place PCs upright rather than lying them sideways, which can affect stability and cause issues. ETC

Review all links once more, or verify the PSU switch in the back. Remember, we truly have no idea—so you’ll need to keep checking until you find something clear.

I don't grasp your reply, but what you're saying is that taking your time and working carefully makes it simpler to find problems compared to rushing and trying everything at once.

I wasn't arguing against you, just pointing out the probable reasons behind OP's issues. Running a test bench can help, but it doesn't guarantee everything will function properly once the build is complete—it only confirms that at some stage it worked.
