I am assembling a new PC with: Asus ProArt X670E, Corsair 192GB DDR5 RAM kit (XMP), Ryzen 7950x. Initially, the motherboard only recognized the B_2 slot. I looked online for discussions about CPU problems or bent pins on the board. After disassembling the CPU cooler (Arctic Freezer 2 420mm), I found some thermal paste around the CPU and cleaned it up. Using my phone's flashlight, I checked the CPU and motherboard pins but didn't spot any differences. I reassembled the CPU and cooler, enabled DOCP with one RAM on B_2, added the second RAM to A_2, and after restarting, the BIOS recognized both RAMs. However, adding other RAMs still caused issues—motherboard would show a yellow light and freeze. I tried cleaning again and tested different slots (A_1, B_1, B_2), but nothing resolved it. Only with A_2 did everything work properly. Any idea if this points to a CPU problem or an outdated BIOS?

I fixed the issue by updating the BIOS. I inserted the B_2 and A_2 drives, accessed BIOS settings, updated via USB flash, then installed B_1 and A_1 at the same time. After restarting the PC and waiting a few minutes, all four 48GB drives recognized at 4800MHz.
