Only PC functions with RAM in slot 3

I possess an MSI Mag B650 A Ryzen 9 7900X with a Flare X5 6000MHz and RTX 4070 Gold I have updated the motherboard CPU and RAM, but it still won’t boot unless there is one stick of RAM in slot 3. If it isn’t in that slot, the red and yellow components light up and it won’t start. I’m unsure what else to try.

So, 2 different motherboards and 2 different CPUs will not boot with sticks in any other slot than slot 3 in any other combination? the default is slots 2 and 4. Can you take a picture of your system? This seems really weird.

Using two sticks, the system starts up, but only slot 3 allows the PC to boot.

Disconnect the CMOS battery for two minutes, then reinstall it.
