I recently assembled a new gaming PC and just added Steam, but the two titles I've tried are only running at 1fps. I checked file integrity, reinstalled everything, and restarted without any differences. I'm connected via DisplayPort to both the GPU and Windows, and other apps work normally. The graphics card is an RX 7800 XT—probably I didn't configure it correctly, though I'm not sure what the issue might be (this is my first build and I expected smoother performance).

GPU: Radeon RX 7800 XT 16GB
I encountered problems with my 7700x functioning on the integrated GPU even when the HDMI was linked to the RTX 4080. I had to turn off the iGPU on the 7700x. Certain applications or games would rely on the iGPU instead of the 4080. If the games are actually operating at 1 frame per second, it’s unlikely the iGPU is handling them, but you might attempt to disable it in the BIOS.
I can confirm, but the 7900X does not have an integrated GPU.
It works perfectly now—everything is set up correctly. Really appreciate the help from a beginner! Also grateful to Asrock for simplifying the IGUI settings into just a few menus.
It's a frequent issue with the Ryzen 7000 lineup, including my experience. Just keep in mind that if you need to return your GPU for BIOS setup, you must enable the iGPU before sending it back. Without the 7800XT, you can't access the BIOS since the iGPU is turned off. You're still able to use the PC with the iGPU for browsing and watching YouTube. Enjoy gaming!
