Hello, I recently switched from 16GB Corsair Vengeance RAM (two 8GB at 3000MHz) to 32GB Corsair Vengeance RAM (two 16GB at 3200MHz). Despite the change, the sticks only operate at 2133MHz. When I turn on DOCP with the new setup, my PC fails to boot and keeps showing errors that require reverting to default. This issue didn’t occur with the earlier 8GB sticks. I’ve also attempted voltage adjustments, but nothing resolved it. Any advice would be appreciated. Specs: CPU - Ryzen 5 2600 (default cooler), RAM - two 16GB 3200MHz Corsair Vengeance, Motherboard - ROG Strix B450-F, PSU - Corsair RM850x, HDD - 2TB + 500GB SSD.

The sticks are in slots. Have you experimented with them one by one?

The sticks are perfectly placed in their respective slots (A2 and B2). I won’t test them individually, so I’ll move on and get back to you. Thanks!

Zen+ CPU struggles with 3200 on single rank; likely using dual rank. Reset BIOS at boot, turn on DOCP, adjust frequency to 3000 or 2933, and test. If it still doesn’t work, reduce the frequency further.

You recently used a single stick and it started working normally at 2133 MHz once you turned on DOCP. Your PC wouldn’t boot properly initially, so you had to revert it. Appreciate the advice—also noted it was installed in slot A2.

Sure thing. Slowing things down should help, and the i9-9900K sounds like a solid choice for an upgrade before the holidays.

you have this board, probably looking at zen 3, no need to swap platform, just update bios (think asus will support it) launching soon, hopefully available by christmas it'll be an upgrade, but not sure if you'll think it's worth it though as for if 9900k is a good buy, not currently unless it's a real good deal (and you can sell your current system) wait for zen 3, and look at the benchmarks
