I recently upgraded to an RX6700XT from a GTX 1060 with 3GB RAM (removed old drivers in safe mode) and almost all games run smoothly, including AAA titles like Elden Ring and Nier: Automata, plus a short 20-minute session. However, when trying to play Re4 Remake I encounter strange artifacts. It's unclear if these are from the game or GPU issues—I'm concerned about sending my GPU in for service. Specs: RYZEN 5 5600, RX6700XT, 16GB RAM at 2400MHz, EVGA 600b PSU.

Verify if there are any reported problems with Radeon cards on the internet. If nothing appears, experiment with adjusting the graphics settings individually to pinpoint the issue. It might relate to anti-aliasing techniques or similar features.

Also verify your VRAM consumption to identify the problem. Others have reported frame drops in RE4m using Radeon cards with high VRAM usage.

It doesn't seem like a hardware issue because it only occurs in one game. You might want to try returning the item but be skeptical about success. It could help to contact the GPU's customer service for advice before proceeding with an RMA. There are several discussions on Reddit about similar problems, suggesting that the game was originally made for PS5 and some special hardware handled texture compression. When moving to Windows, this hardware isn't present, so a poorly written code snippet replaced it, causing artifacts. Source: various Reddit threads. You can also search for "re4 remake issues and artifacts" online.
