Hi everyone, I'm facing a problem where my work laptop doesn't produce any sound from Chrome, Edge, Spotify, and similar apps. It does play audio during team calls, so I've tried adjusting the volume, updating and reinstalling the audio drivers, and even looked up solutions online. The only official Microsoft page I found didn't seem to help. Could anyone assist me or suggest another approach? My laptop is a Dell Latitude 7420. Thanks in advance!
Verify your output devices. Also, occasionally when an app like Teams is active, it may take over completely and block background programs. Ensure everything is fully closed or adjust certain settings. There seems to be a configuration issue. I can't assist further—I don’t handle conference calls on the computer.
Attempted the fix but it didn't succeed. Unintentionally resolved the issue by adjusting audio settings and using spatial sound options, though the reason remains unclear. It worked nonetheless.
