Only IP addresses from the second router are visible.
I managed to access devices linked to my second router using Ethernet after adjusting the LAN configuration and turning off DHCP. Following this guide helped, but here’s the problem: the IP addresses of devices connected via Ethernet aren’t appearing, only those connected through Wi-Fi. To make Wi-Fi devices visible so SQM QoS functions properly during streaming or downloads, you’ll need to ensure both wired and wireless connections are correctly recognized by your network settings.
The IP addresses assigned to devices on the second router are determined by its configuration. This method may work better with simpler routers, and it can sometimes produce unexpected outcomes based on how the router is set up. (Note: Also, why did that person record while flying? That sound was probably unrelated.)
I can't determine the IP address because DHCP was disabled. My laptop appears when I connect to the first router but not to the second one, except for Wi-Fi devices. The Tenda N301 is very affordable. Edgerouter X is coming soon, so I'm trying to learn how to make all connected devices visible on these two routers. [EDIT] - uploaded incorrect image.
Check the assigned IP and follow the necessary steps for SQM to function properly.
It maintains the IP address even after connecting to the second router. If this happens, there’s nothing you can do to alter it—your initial router should recognize the PC as a "wired" connection once linked to the second one.
Your second router is likely assigning DHCP addresses, or are you configuring them manually? If it's managing DCHP, should you be handling QoS from that device? It would be best if it followed the setup shown in the video, with router #1 managing DHCP, etc. It seems like there might have been a misunderstanding. Please verify your router settings on both devices—it looks like something could have gone wrong. I’m pretty sure when I had a similar configuration before it worked smoothly.
