I’ve faced some issues with my PC recently. One day I pressed the power button on the front panel but it didn’t respond. All components—motherboard, AIO, and GPU—were lit, which made me unsure what was happening. After turning everything off and back on, I restarted it. The problem repeated: after shutting down for 10 seconds, the PSU cycled again and started up normally in BIOS. I restored the BIOS to my original settings (skipping the CPU fan and enabling XMP), saved changes, and restarted. When I didn’t turn it back on, it went into BIOS again.

I then left it default, but without restarting, the issue persisted. I tried a different RAM stick, replaced the PSU, and even re-seated the CPU, yet the problem continued. The only clue is that something might be related to memory modules. It’s been a week of playing normally except for needing to power cycle the PSU each time I wanted to turn it on.

I’m considering a memory-related fault since nothing else seems to fit. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Start by verifying your front connectors on the motherboard. Next, try updating the BIOS but proceed carefully—power loss during the process could damage the board and render it unusable. Finally, think about reinstalling the operating system; the CPU might be the issue since it has two caches and can sometimes cause confusion.

If your GPU is suitable for its age, it might still run into problems due to outdated VBIOS settings, leading to black screens. The newest firmware is available—see Nvidia's update and their explanation about the black screen issue. It seems the motherboard could be the main concern, but I’d also look into the GPU itself.

Hello. Is this your motherboard? I'm facing the same problem with the same board. I've tried all the usual fixes—switching the power supply and the motherboard—but nothing works. I've seen many discussions on Reddit about the same brand, but no clear solution. Have you replaced the motherboard? I'm thinking about getting a new PSU, but I suspect the issue might be with the motherboard itself.

The same problem still occurs with the same motherboard. I considered replacing the PSU, but I feel it might be a Mobo-related issue. This was useful. Thanks.
